"I really hope donors understand just how much Epilepsy Action Australia's support helps families like us. Not just during the holiday season, but all year around. We know there are people we can call on, if we need help."

-Sarah (Kobe's Mum)

Kobe's family living with epilepsy

Kobe is six years old with a cheeky sense of humour. He loves playing with cars and motorbikes and whipping up a menu in his play kitchen. Like most children, Christmas is one of his favourite holidays, with his big sister Maddi and his mum Sarah and dad Will.

But Christmas is a difficult time of year for the family because Kobe has Dravet Syndrome. It’s a particularly severe form of epilepsy that’s extremely hard to control with medication.

All around Australia, families like Kobe’s will be doing their best to make the holidays as ‘normal’ as possible, knowing that, at any moment, they may be forced to rush to hospital with a life-threatening seizure – because epilepsy doesn’t break for the holidays.

During this time of year, your support for Epilepsy Action Australia could not be more welcome.
